about me

I'm a total foodie and have been in the kitchen since I was 10 years old, helping my mom cook. I have lived in New Jersey, Massachusetts and New York. Although I LOVED living in Massachusetts, N.J. will always be home and so I had to come back. I'm lucky I did...ten months after moving back home, I met my now husband He is definitely a "guy's guy," and I am definitely a "girlie girl," but our love for one another and our strong faith as Christians make us a very happy couple. And it also doesn't hurt that I like to cook and he has a healthy appetite.

Recently, God has blessed my husband and I with a precious baby girl, whom I hope to teach to cook when she is old enough and should she show any interest in the craft.

My passions are cooking (Spanish and Italian food in particular), and trying to balance my family, my job, my friends and some "me" time. It ain't easy, right? As for work, I am an attorney, commercial litigator in particular. I have recently left the practice for a few years to be a SAHM to my little girl. As for what my husband and I do for fun, we like taking the baby to the park, going bowling, playing volleyball, and also just hanging out with each other and watching TV shows we both like.
As for how I rate recipes, I've been cooking long enough that I can usually tell if I'll like the recipe just by the ingredients listed. I appreciate trying out everyone's recipes. Thus, I tend to give ratings of 5's, 4's and 3's. I usually refrain from posting a review of a recipe if I think it is lower than a 3, since everyone's tastes are different. Happy posting!!

Shrimp in garlic sauce, empanada, chicken cordon bleu, Galician caldo (which is a collard greens, white beans, chorizo stew), stuffed shells and chocolate, chocolate, chocolate!
