Love to cook as a hobby, not a daily task. Like creative recipes that don't involve a long list of ingredients. Live in the Missouri Ozarks with spouse and cat. Two grown children, both are cooking fiends. Nurse Practitioner by profession. Love to travel and garden too.

Ina Garten is my hero. I love her simplicity! Paua Dean is a hoot too.

I'll never judge a recipe to be less than 3 stars. It's too subjective to me! Less than three stars just means it wasn't one of MY favorites...it may have been someone else's though.

By the way.....I collect recipes...lots of recipes...from anywhere and everywhere. My main purpose in joining Recepezaar was to establish an organized method for my collection. Many of these recipes I have tried, many I have not. I don't have a great deal of time to devise a lot of recipes from scratch but I still love to cook, I love to tweak, and I'm happy to share my collection with any and everybody. There you go!

Favorite Foods:

Most! Fresh, natural foods are ideal, but there's still room in my cooking for a can of mushroom soup here and there, or a slice of Velveeta to flavor up a cheese sauce. Pretentious cooking is for the pretentious!

Motto for eating: I'll try anything edible! Food is an adventure of living!
