I grew up in a hippie home during the 70's that had no white sugar, white flour or white rice allowed. So the recent whole grain/whole foods movement hasn't changed much about how I approach food but now I'm looking for a happy medium between the highly processed high starch diet of our modern convenience centered culture and the nuts berries and tofu I grew up around so I can raise my own kids with sound nutritional information but without the deprivation I felt when it seemed like everyone else ate Sugar Pops and Fruit Loops for breakfast except me .
I'm interested in baked goods that are both healthy and tasty.
