about me

I'm married, have 2 daughters, and teach exceptional students in high school. I love birding, gardening, baking, quilting, and cake decorating. My favorite cookbooks are the church varieties, collections of tried and true family favorites. I am particularly interested in using the herbs I grow in recipes.

Favorite Foods:

My family enjoys my spaghetti, lasagne, and stromboli. I use home-grown herbs in my sauces. My friends like my cakes, especially my carrot, white chocolate pound, red velvet, and easy pound cakes with bakery buttercream or cream cheese icing. I like grilled seafood, eastern NC barbecue, and barbecued chicken. I like Italian, Mexican, Chinese, and Japanese food. I can't think of just one favorite restaurant.
