I'm an Eastcoast gal through and through. Happily married with one child,I work part time at a craft store though I've worked as a Dept. Mgr in a Department store for many years and in management prior: of retail fashion (mall work). Don't have a favorite cookbook (who needs cookbooks when ya got the web) but I'm a TV Foodnetwork junkie!!!!When I can find time I love to cook and craft,and I'm a gemstone junkie also (hubby worked the Fine Jewelry counter when I met him-major plus(lol)) BIGGEST pet peeve??? Poor phone manners!!! Argh-gonna have that one put on my tombstone!!!
My mom's bread filling-it's kinda a combo of bread stuffing and potatoe filling-if you live on the east coast you know what I'm talking about-you throw it in a pan and bake it-very time consuming-all from scratch-no exact measuring-just very "PA DUTCHY". Famous for my tortellini salad-another "no exact measurement" item-but It's cheese tortellini in a sweet tomatoe vinegarette-a bistro @ the mall made a ravioli salad-I just figured out how to make it on my own. I'm the gal my friends all call w/ cooking questions. Favorite restaraunt??? Nothing fancy-Just Applebees or TGI Fridays (I have a child,who gets to go to fancy restaraunts anymore????) But any fine restaraunt that serves duck well is top notch in my book!!!! I love to experiment. I'm not a fancy cook-and I have to say I'm a better cook than a baker but that doesn't stop me from trying.
