about me

I'm the proud mamma of four and have the wonderfull job of caring for them 24/7. I grew up in a small town in the country so I have a lot of "down home" kinds of recipes. However we love to travel and introduce our kids to new things, and that has influenced my cooking as well. Also I'm married to a man born in Sydney Australia who's father is English so I've had to spread my wings a bit. I am getting pretty handy at making marmalaide. We get a group from Australia in every summer for a week or two , and they love trying all types of new dishes, so I'll be on the hunt soon through your cook books! I love to read, cook, travel, shop, and garden (flower, herb,and vegetable) but one of my favorite things is collecting, taking apart recipes, and puting new ones together. My mother and paternal grandmother are and were great cooks and I learned from them. I hope you enjoy my recipes because I'll only post sure things from our house to yours. Enjoy!!!!!

Favorite Foods:

Depends on the moment and mood. I love ethnic foods of all types. I am a huge baker. Something about the smell of warm bread from the oven and homemade cookies ext!!! I love fall because the weather isn't to rotten but it is also cold enough to justify the oven being on all day. I've been in charge of cooking Thanksgiving dinner for anywhere from 15-40 people for the last 11 years so I guess you could call that my specialty. I also love making a big deal about all holidays, but especially Christmas!!!
