I'm a married graduate student. Lately I haven't had as much time to cook as I would like...
Old favorites: Cantonese, Thai, Italian, Japanese, Greek/Mediterranean; New/developing: Mexican, Ethiopean, Korean, homestyle Vietnamese, eastern european (sausages! borscht!). Deli food--I love great sausages, sliced meats and cheeses. I am proud to say that there is a branch of my extended family that still makes soppressata and prosciutto! Garlic, onions, ginger, spicy foods; avocados, artichokes, asparagus (all the "a" vegetables)--I'm trying to eat more with the seasons.
I'll take a taco wagon meal over a fancy restaurant any day; it's funny how the quality of the meal is sometimes in inverse proportion to the quality of the decor. Then again, there's something charming about eating inside an old coach bus...
