The Category Craze-E Contest is a quick, fun contest that will include lots of zany twists. Watch for the Photobucket symbol!

Photobucket

Photobucket
Entrants must develop an original recipe using a minimum of 5 ingredients from the list provided.
Photobucket Since the Category Craze-E Contest focuses on only ONE category at a time, the official list of ingredients is new and variable for each round. The number of ingredients that will be required for each recipe may also vary.
To qualify, each recipe must fit into the current Craze-E category as well as contain the specified amount of ingredients from the list. You may also use any other ingredients you wish. However, the ingredients you use from the Official Contest List should be an essential or basic ingredient of the recipe (not optional or garnish). That is, leaving one of the items out would significantly change the outcome of the recipe.

Photobucket The Craze-E Category is: Crock Pot Cooking
All entries must include instructions for cooking in a crock pot.

Photobucket
Photobucket Each recipe submission must fit the current round's category & there is a maximum of 2 recipes that any one chef may enter. To submit a recipe, please send your recipe by Email with your Recipezaar member name & chef number in the subject line. Send your recipe to zaar_entry@yahoo.com (zaar underscore entry @yahoo.com). Only recipes submitted using this link will be eligible for the contest. NOTE: You will be sent a confirmation when each recipe is received. If you don't get a reply please contact Susie D.

Only one recipe per chef will be accepted per day.

We will not make changes to your recipe; consequently, if the entry is not in the proper format it could be disqualified. Once an entry has been submitted it cannot be edited in any manner. Please check your recipe description, ingredient list, ingredient amounts, and directions carefully before submitting your recipe. This includes spelling and grammatical errors. ALL RECIPES WILL BE POSTED EXACTLY AS SENT or disqualified!

You are required to review as many recipes as you entered. (Of course, you may not review your own recipes.) You may make & test as many recipes as you choose beyond that.

Photobucket Scoring for the Category Craze-E Contest will be a combination of star rating & survey. Please DO NOT post your review to the actual recipe until the winner is announced.

For each recipe you test you will submit a quick survey. The link can be found on each contest recipe. Surveys can be submitted at any time during the contest. Each survey will cover your ratings regarding creativity, originality, and ease of directions that will make up 50% of the final contest score and will ask for your overall star rating, which accounts for the other 50%. You will be required to provide your zaar name & member number.
After the contest is over, please post your written review, including the star rating you entered on the survey, to the actual recipe. Please DO NOT post your review to the actual recipe until the winner is announced.

On reveal day, all recipes submitted will be posted in the Category Craze-E account for viewing. The author of each recipe will remain anonymous until the contest is over & the recipes are added to your personal accounts.

Everyone is on their honor to not share their recipe creations with anyone. Family members and "real life" friends should post their reviews of a member’s recipes AFTER the review weekend. Any posted earlier will not be used for scoring purposes. Also please refrain from discussing –- good or bad — any recipes you may try during the review period with other members of the Recipezaar community. While it may not be your intent as we all love a great meal, your actions may influence the nature of the contest and could result in the recipe or your entry being disqualified.

We ask that your reviews are honest, polite and tactful. Reviews should not be intended to be hurtful.

To review contest recipes as fairly as possible, we request that you make and taste each recipe that you review.

Photobucket
If you would like to be reminded to post your reviews during the correct weekend, please sign up for a zmail reminder at http://www.recipezaar.com/bb/viewtopic.zsp?t=276967

Photos of recipes should NOT be submitted for any contest recipe until the contest is over and the winners have been named. If a photo is submitted early, the recipe may be disqualified or the recipe by the member posting the early photo/ review may have their recipe disqualified. Photographs may be submitted, by any member, AFTER the winners are announced.

Photobucket
Honor Code: Members are not to share their recipe creations with other members. Discussion of submissions and/or reviews is strictly prohibited. Scoring surveys & reviews used for the purpose of this contest may only be posted by ONE member of each household. If the same IP address shows on reviews, questions will be raised, reviews will not be used for scoring, and/or the recipe disqualified.

Photobucket
1. All recipes will be reviewed to verify the use of FIVE of the TWENTY ONE official ingredients.
2. All recipe submissions will be hidden from view until after the Deadline Date, when they will all be unveiled together. (In other words, you may submit your recipe at any time before the Deadline Date, but no recipe will have any time advantage over another.)
3. The recipe poster's name and all reviews will be hidden from view until after the End Date, so as not to bias any reviewers. (Furthermore, the only way to view Contest recipes before the End Date is from this page, so the recipes will not get any unfair exposure in other parts of the site.) Any attempt to identify or promote a recipe by the submitter OR ANYONE will result in disqualification, and a possible warning on their account at Recipezaar. Recipes should only be saved into your MAIN or another PRIVATE cookbook so as not to unfairly promote a recipe. All participants are on their honor to not share their recipe titles with anyone else. Doing so will result in disqualification.
4. Once the Contest is over, all recipes will be returned to the original chef's account.
5. Recipezaar runs on Eastern Time so all dates are for 11:59pm Recipezaar time unless otherwise specified.
6. Any number of recipes above one per day will be disqualified. All recipes received above the 2 recipe limit will automatically be disqualified. The first two submitted will be the ones entered into the contest. Recipes must be submitted by Deadline Date listed to qualify; any recipes received after the deadline will be rejected and the contributor notified by zmail.
7. Photobucket The contest winners win the glory and respect of their peers, a prize, and a super secret surprise.

Photobucket The ingredient list for CRAZE-E was contributed by several people. Each person contacted was asked to select a few ingredients for FALL and told their selections might or might not appear on the final list. No one has enough on the list to have an unfair advantage or head start in creating recipes. Assembling of the list was done by Susie D and no one else has seen the final list.
