about me

Mission statement: Please leave a creative message at the beep... and try some of my recipes. Well, at least read the titles and intros for a few giggles ;o]

Chosen profession: Domestic Engineer
Current employment: Admin Assistant.

Volunteer: Sunday school (ECF) teacher - 7th grade. Family, church & friend oriented, BPOE, American Legion aux. alumni, also used to help with the kids karate class - need to get back into that.
Music: too much to list... just know that I loathe gangsta, Yoko-Ono's stylings and what is up with fusion - I don't get it.
Sports: take me to a baseball or hockey game and I'm a happy camper.
... and hobbies: too many to list.
For fun: really really really no... really bad puns - seriously, I'm just a goof-ball.
Books: Fanny Farmer cook book is cute light reading for any good domestic engineer. I love my Nourishing Traditions cookbook. I have done a complete 180 on milk. I now LOVE LOVE LOVE Ice cold raw whole milk, and renounce soy milk completely, though I will still joyfully eat tofu - overlooking the health detriment that it imposes.

Pet peeve: When people say 'these ones' or 'those ones', instead of saying 'these' etc... "Ones" is expressed and is not necessary. The word 'utilize' is over used and over-rated. The slang word "UM".

Favorite Foods:

Seasonal, of-course.

get-it yet?

I warned you about my really really really bad puns.

Favorite sweetener: Xylitol - although someone emailed me about this not being good for doggies. You'll have to do the research. Well I know I wouldn't feed it to my pet Fish. ;o] And, true enough I only give my pet FiSH - shockingly his fish food. Still, maybe there are some people out there that just need to be told their pets are pets and not children. HA! Petparents!! Go figure. Disclaimer: I am publicly and profusely apologizing in advance to my friend Ally (and her husband) for that last statement. Luv you anyway hunny – you proud little pet-parent.

Good food: spinach, (I still like a good stir-fry tofu and veggies), my crunchy home made baguettes with sesa-pop topping.

Better food: Cobb salad and dead grilled animal flesh are chart toppers. Don't burn it though, because I like the dead animals this side of rare. Except gizzards - peppered and sauced up, BBQ grilled on a piece of foil - needs to be done just right.

Best food: Chocolate Milk

Can someone tell me why that when it's raining I immediately want Ice-cream... so I bought a Lello. mmmmuuuwwhaaahaaahaaaa

Occasionally.... I do drink (it's the Irish in me)... so regarding Drink: I'm not too picky, in fact I'll probably flip a lip to what ever you want to concoct.... but YOU first!! I do have a SIC sweet BOOZE recipe posted. Heck, I had to come up with something for that bottle of Amaretto Di. You will fee a buzzzzz from my rum-ball recipe here if done properly 5 - 6 is a shot of rum.

I like nice wine, Irish and Belgian beer, and not too long ago my nephew introduced me to a drink called an Irish car-bomb. Not bad actually it was quite the novelty drink... he's young. Heck, I spent my 20's pulling that stuff too... so I know he'll settle in someday.
