about me

Hi-I live in Northern Va, with my husband. I am a transplant to Va, I was born in NY, and moved here about 8 years ago. I work for a kitchen licensing company, we make items for Pfaltzgraff, Wegewood, Villery & Boch, Johnson Brothers. It is kind of appropriate that I work for a kitchen company, since I love to cook, my mom taught me how to make sauce when I was ten, and her meatballs when I was 13.I alway try to use organic foods, I can be found at the local farmer's markets all throught the spring & summer. ,Cooking is a favorite pastime, especially baking which is one reason I now belong to Weight Watchers - LOL
I have found so many wonderful recipes here, I have tried many of the ones in my cookbooks and hope to get to all of them one day. To me there is nothing better than watching someones's face as they are enjoying a meal or dessert that your prepared yourself.
When I'm not working or cooking, I love to read (Nora Robert & Diane Mott Davidson books especially),make hand stamped cards (I am a Stampin Up rep), and go for long drives with all my windows down, sunroof open and my music up loud.

Favorite Foods:

Any Italian, Chinese or German food. I tend to be the kind of person who will try any food once even if it sounds gross. I also have a passion for fluffernutters, thats marshmallow Fluff & peanut butter on white bread to those of you not from the north they are great.
I like experimenting with food and have had more than one recipe backfire, oh well.
