I work in a government office sitting in front of a computer all day. My DH is semi-retired. I love cooking and planning meals for just the 2 of us and for the occasional dinner party. I've been visiting this site for a number of years now and I always find something new. This year I finally became a paying subscriber. When I think about it, the annual fee is less than the cost of a good cookbook, but you get so much out of it. Guess I'm a recipe consumer rather than a contributor-- I spend a few minutes most days browsing the zaar and adding to my cookbooks. Keeps me organised and on top of it!!
I love all fresh vegetables & fruit, lamb, kangaroo, fish-I cook a lot of stir fry, using whatever is available. We have some great fresh fruit & veg mkts here in Perth, and with the year-round growing seasons in Western Australia, there's really nothing to hold your imagination back. I grow a few herbs-- this year I have garlic chive, basil, sage, marjoram, thyme and tiny hot Thai chillies. My DH will eat absolutely anything I cook, always giving high praise!!!
