The above photo is of me and DH dancing at Ivan's Stress Free Bar on the island of Jost Van Dyke, in the British Virgin Islands. If you know the country singer Kenny Chesney, and his song "No Shirt, No Shoes, No Problem" this is the place he was singing about. It's our favorite place in the world....We knew about it before Kenny.

I'm a displaced yankee from PA and have been down here since 1994. DH and I met later in life on the river, while we were both living on houseboats. We've crammed a lot of living in a short period of time. Our first 6 years were spent living on the river in houseboats, which we bought, fixed up and resold. We moved to his family property and built our small retirement house, when we realized DH's Mom needed our help. We live in the middle of the woods.
We love all animals. We feed the deer, squirrels, birds, coons and whoever shows up at our feeders. We have two furbabies...BeeGee a feral kitty who adopted us and is now neutered and tame. Rascal is the newest addition to our family. He's a pound puppy who was left in a cage next to the dumpsters at our local humane society.
We love to travel, but it was usually only once a year. DH has just retired and we bought a used RV...so maybe we can go a little more now.
I cook most everything from scratch and it's mostly old fashion comfort food...just a little healthier...well I try
I love Zaar because it's like stopping at a good friend's house and always finding someone home.
