I live out in the middle of nowhere with my dh whom I've been married to for 11 years. We have three children together our oldest dd is 12, our youngest dd is 10 and our ds is 2. We are a bmx family, and travel to different races around our area. Not to far, just because who wants to do a road trip with a two year old? Not I!
I learned how to cook more for survival reasons than anything, and found I liked it a lot.My mom wasn't the best of cooks, she's a great artist but really, really bad at cooking. Even as a young kid I use to watch PBS on Saturday's for some of the cooking shows that use to come on.
For fun I like to roam around zaar looking for the best recipes that people have been kind enough to share. I love to collect recipes, I collect cookbooks. My favorite finds have always been the cookbooks that have been put together for fund raising and have found the best recipes in them.
I love to internet surf, I've met some of my best friends on the internet.
I enjoy reading a lot, but my favorites are sappy romance novels! And the Harry Potter series, I finished the 7th book in 8 hours. I do cross stitch when I get the time I've got one that I've been working on for 2 years.
I have some pet peeves...actually don't we all?

I love food, probably way to much. But oh well! I don't really have any favorites but I have lots of cravings..lol! I love to put lots of garlic in my food, I do love my garlic.
I suppose I do have some favorites that are requested of me teriyaki chicken is one, I've never posted the recipe because it's usually a little bit of this and that thrown into a pot and warmed and tasted until I'm happy with the flavors to pour over the chicken as a 24 hr. marinade. One day, I'll have to write down measurements and post it. My family likes to request my chessy green enchiladas as well. But I've also found a lot of recipes on here that my family asks for a lot of. I have a few favorites that I use constantly.
Fall, winter and spring are my favorite times of the year to cook. I love rainy days when there's nothing better than a good soup and a crusty loaf of bread. And I love the holidays with all the Christmas baking and candy making and then the smell of a baking turkey, there's nothing more comforting than that.
With spring, it's leading up to the bountiful summer vegetables with the strawberries...and I really love a good chocolate covered strawberry.
I don't have any real favorite restraunts, only because there aren't a whole lot up here to choose from. So, I guess whatever I'm in the mood for might be good. LOL!
