about me

I am a very late starter in the kitchen. I have a 5-year-old daughter and a 3-year-old son and would love them to enjoy cooking as I never did until recently! I found this website whilst looking for scone recipes.I had tried to make them twice before and ended up with inedible rock cakes!!! I finally got them right after trying one of the recipes here. I like REALLY well-explained recipes, and ones with US/UK conversions.

Favorite Foods:

I'm a sucker for anything sweet, but I also love colourful savoury foods, especially vegetable dishes. If someone comes for dinner, I'm likely to throw together the Ina Paarman Bobotie, or mexican wraps, which I think is more social with everyone putting their own choice of filling on their wrap.
