about me

I am a single mom with 3 beautiful children - two girls ages 17 and 12 and one boy age 6.
They keep me very busy.





I grew up in a small town in southwest Virginia but have now settled down in the mountains of Tennessee.

I have also lived in Oklahoma, Texas, Alaska and Washington.

Having been a military wife for many years, I have met lots of wonderful people and made some great lifelong friends who share my love for cooking. I always enjoy all the new dishes that my friends and family share with me.

I am so happy to have discovered RecipeZaar. It has become a part of my everyday life now!

I love to read; mysteries are my favorite.

The best gift I ever received was my digital camera! I hardly ever go anywhere without it...you never know when you might have a 'kodak moment'.

I love to entertain and have friends and family over and they love to come and eat!!

My kitchen is always open with good food and warm conversation!

My icon is the PINK BREAST CANCER AWARENESS RIBBON.
It is in memory of my sister who passed away from a very aggresive form of breast cancer on July 25, 2002. She was my best friend and I miss her very much. We always loved to 'talk food' and she would have loved RecipeZaar as much as I do.

Favorite Foods:

It's hard to say what my favorite foods are. I love so many different things and am always open to try new recipes, but I would have to say that dark chocolate is my big weakness.
