about me

I came from Germany and bake all the time.When I'm at home, I bake and cook and eat...lol
I got divorced some time ago and am now beginning a new chapter in my life.
Love to do horseback riding and taking long walks with the dogs. I read (not only cookbooks) in my spare-time, whenever that may be...also watch science and documenteries on TV. I'm silly, love to laugh and enjoy practical jokes. Music is a constant in my home and dancing makes it all the better.I love having friends over for drinks and dinner and relentlessly mis-use them as taste testers. I'm on and off the web many times right now, so I will come to zaar very infrequesntly for the next few weeks.

Favorite Foods:

My signature cake is the Louisiana-Praline-Torte.
With white chocolat genoise and vanilla buttercream. Layered with Raspberry-couli and sides covered in handmade filbert-praline.
Topped with a life-size sugar magnolia (Stateflower) When it comes to my private eating habbits: CHOCOLATE RULES!! I like asien cooking and love japanese best. I enjoy a great steak and prefer beer to wine.I also like some weird foods from Germany (Mett, Tartar, veal tongue and "worse" stuff) and from all over the world. You can hound me with green olives and I will not eat raw squid again. Porridge is not a food, but considered spackle! Fresh fish right off the boat and game off the truck are always wellcome, skin and all.I enjoy down home cooking as much as restaurant style, just a matter of mood and occasion.
