As Tommy LaSorda said, "I eat all the right foods, I just eat too much of them". A kindred soul. I try to prepare an exciting meal from scratch each weekend. Too busy during the week.
I have found and cooked great recipes from Umberto Menghi whose eponymous restaurant is in Vancouver, Canada. A great restaurant town, by the way.
I love Italian, Mexican and Chinese. My most successful dinner recipe is from Umberto. It includes baked pork chops with a radish sauce. The side dish is braised sweet peppers. Topped with tomato sauce, garlic and parmesan, the dish is a perfect companion for the chops. Friends and relatives in four countries swear by my eggs benedict.
