I'm an Aussie bioinformatics/biology postdoc, currently working in the UK. Finding fresh, varied and affordable ingredients here is more difficult than in Australia, so I'm going to be spending a lot of time at Zaar in the near future, looking for creative things to do with the basics! I will post interesting things I discover along the way, so that others can enjoy them, too.

Home-made anything, especially home-baked anything - I have a deep fondness for cakes. In general, though, I tend to work with lots of fresh vegies and fruit.
