Live in Mount Airy, NC: AKA-"Mayberry"; Andy Griffith's hometown. Retired RN. Married 34 years. Mother of four. Grandmother of seven. Been cooking since age 10. Just edited a cookbook for my quilting guild, we sold out all 400 copies within 2 months. Yeah! Writing and editing a family cookbook now.

Favorite Foods:

Beans and rice; Tex-Mex; lasagna; chicken dishes; baking whole grain breads, cakes, pies etc...
My Husband, sons, daughter and daughters-in-law like my lasagna. I make about 4 or 5 versions; Veggie, Mexican, 5-Cheese, With Rose Sauce and Broccoli, to name a few. My grandsons like a dish I make of slow cooked pork roast soy sauce garlic etc. They call it "Chinese Chicken" (all meat that isn't beef is chicken to them...LOL!). My favorite restaurant is Chile Rojo, a fabulous authentic Mexican restaurant in Mount Airy run by a great family. They make the best food, it is just tantalizing walking in the door. Their guacamole is to die for!
