about me

Love being a wife to my dear husband of 10 years. We live in central Illinois in a little old house with a little old kitchen and a little old oven. I love to read cookbooks, but I don't use them much now that I have the Zaar. My "job" job is teaching piano lessons, but my true passion is homemaking. I enjoy doing things the old-fashioned way, like washing my laundry by hand and hanging it on the clothesline to dry and making pizzas from scratch (sometimes with homemade cheese). We like to live a slow and simple life.

Favorite Foods:

I am a foodie through and through, and I love to bake hearth breads, sandwich breads, and sweet goodies (especially chocolatey things and cookies). I cook mostly from scratch because it's fun for me. I love to make mixes of all kinds: spice mixes, baking mixes, beverages mixes, etc. DH's favorite recipes of mine are country hearth bread, cowboy cookies, vegetarian tacos, and soups. I don't have a favorite restaurant. We don't eat out a lot, but I do love the chocolate cake from the Cheesecake Factory!
