about me

I am a prosecuting attorney in Indiana whose wife happens to own a very cool casual fine dining restaurant in Kentland called the Old Colonial Inn. My wife bakes the excellent honey wheat bread we serve, creates beautiful desserts, and runs the front. My 10 and 12 y/o daughters both help me in the kitchen, and I am the cook. We love our little restaurant and are very proud of it. That is me in the middle of the picture. The big guy next to me is the greatest bartender in the midwest and the skinny little fellow on my other side is the Governor of Indiana, Mitch Daniels, who heard about us and dropped in for some of our fine shrimp creole.

Favorite Foods:

My favorite foods are seafood done in any southern or cajun style. My favorite meal was Oysters Mosca at Mosca's in New Orleans. My favorite dish at the restaurant is stuffed red snapper with shrimp and crab butter cream sauce, but the favorite among our customers is the N.O. style BBQ shrimp. My favorite seafood joints are Mosca's for oysters, Deannie's seafood in N.O. for BBQ shrimp, Robin's of Henderson LA for catfish courtbouillion, Prejeans of Carencro La for their stuffed shrimp over etoufee, the late great Enola Pruhdomme's Cajun Cafe for anything they ever put in front of me, and Mcelroy's seafood of Biloxi for stuffed flounder. Dam I'm getting hungry!
