about me

I live in Canberra, Australia but study at a uni in Sydney so I tend to travel back and forth. Canberra is a beautiful city, but a little small and quiet so I think I have the best of both worlds. (Actually, Canberra has a population of over 300,000 but after living in London for 2 years it feels REALLY small).

My two passions are travelling and cooking. I like to combine both by cooking a variety of dishes. I tend to cook different cuisines according to my mood.

Favorite Foods:

I love vegetables and have a cute little veggie garden where I grow a few seasonal vegetables. It's a wonderful feeling being able to eat produce from your own garden
I also love shopping at my local farmer's market. All the produce is grown locally, the atmosphere is great, and it really is the best place for FRESH fruit and vegetables!


Due to food allergies, I'm always on the lookout for easy to make vegan recipes (I tend to keep my milk and egg intake to a minimum). I also have to avoid fish and nuts. As a result, I'm accustomed to substituting ingredients in recipes.

I'm always on the lookout for low fat, nutrient dense recipes. Although I try to eat quite healthily (whatever that means), I have a REALLY sweet tooth. However I try to keep my sugar intake as low as possible and I prefer to avoid really processed foods. I use wholemeal flour and try to use organic produce as much as possible. I also like to use lots of seeds, grains and LOVE using herbs and spices in my cooking to keep things interesting.
