about me

I am a happy newlywed (since October 2006) and Registered Nurse currently in Cardiology. During my spare time, I love to cook and bake. There is something about taking raw ingredients and creating a dish that fulfills and relaxes me. I also love taking recipes and trying to tweak the ingredients to make it a little healthier and more heart friendly.

Favorite Foods:

I am an adventurous eater and will try anything at least once! My favorite foods are authentic Spanish and Latin American dishes....and of course, Filipino cuisine cooked by my mother and aunts. But, some nights there is nothing more satisfying than coming home from work and ordering a Margherita pie from our local pizzeria. I don't think we could ever leave NY for this reason alone!

My husband and I are also wine lovers and we look forward to our day trips to Long Island's Wine Country. Our favorite moments are those spent with friends and family sharing good food and wine.

I must thank our good friend Mimi for introducing me to Recipezaar (I'm hooked!) and for hosting wonderful wine tastings/dinners that are always such a good time!
