HI! Greetings from "The Land of Pleasant Living!" I'm a retired pastoral counselor, and currently an associate chaplain at our local hospital. I'm the mother of two grown sons. My oldest, a cabinetmaker, lives halfway around the world, in Darwin, at the Top End of Australia. Pictured above are his three beautiful children. My youngest son is an investment banker... and newlywed...living and working in D.C.

I love to read, especially murder mysteries. Baby, my long-haired tortoise shell cat, is a constant companion. I travel every chance I get, fascinated by the history of new places, and meeting the "locals." FYI: my icon is the beautiful Maryland state flag!

Cooking is my creative outlet. I love making a big pot of soup. Discovering new ways to prepare fresh fruits and veggies. Brunch dishes. ONIONS! Apples in any form! Cheeses and nuts! Seasoning with nutmeg! That said, I'm probably happiest when baking... especially scones, muffins, quick breads, coffee cakes...an activity my friends enthusiastically encourage!

The WELCOME mat is always out...nothing better than sharing good food, wine, and relaxed conversation with friends.
