I'm a writer by trade. I specialize in articles about fine arts, antiques, and collectibles, but my nursing background makes me an excellent choice for medical, health and science writing projects. Obviously, I also love food! I'm an amateur cooking enthusiast. My prize-winning recipes have been published in several collections by "Taste of Home." If you need original recipes along with fresh copy, give me a holler.
I love southwestern cuisine, particularly New Mexican. I enjoy spicy foods, but not at the expense of flavor. Huevos rancheros that make my forehead sweat are a delicious treat on Sunday mornings. I also like Scandinavian and French cuisine, as I am descended from those regions.
In my opinion, wine is a must-have accompaniment to any first-class meal. I favor merlots, white zinfandels, and pinot noirs. New Mexico boasts a fine collection of wineries. Some of my favorite labels are La Chiripada and Santa Fe Vineyards.
