about me

I am married with 2 small kids. We recently moved to Iowa from California through a requested job transfer (seeking family values, good schools, seasons, etc.). We love it here! I stay home with my children since we moved, but I am a OB-GYN Nurse Practitioner by education and work experience. I do miss that, but am pleased to have the opportunity to shape my children's lives as much as I can. I thought I'd have a lot more free-time by staying home, but it is all gone with responsibilities here...LOL. When I do carve out time I enjoy painting, crafts, quilting, scrapbooking, reading, gardening, and OF COURSE cooking!

Favorite Foods:

I love to bake. Mostly I think this is true because I have a sweet-tooth... I'd never last on a low-carb lifestyle HAHA. These days dinners are mostly kid friendly fare. When eating out I love Thai, Chinese, or Japanese food because I do not cook that way at home. I planted a vegetable garden this year, so I'm on the prowl for good canning, preserves, and veggie recipes.
