about me

The above photo was taken on Aug. 30/09 at a place called Indian Falls where we go to view the beautiful dragonflies.
Can't imagine living anywhere else than the beautiful province of Nova Scotia, Canada. Now just hubby, myself and one spoiled cat named Milo, as both son and daughter have flown the nest.
Have been a member of Zaar for a few years now and totally enjoy the site. Great place to find some fantastic recipes and also meet some wonderful folks from around the globe. The Cooking Photos forum has me hooked. Not a day goes by that I don't take a peak at the gorgeous creations that members post there. It is so nice to view what the finished recipe should look like and as a Premium Member I usually end up saving quite a few in my various recipe books.
I enjoy cooking, gardening and reading. And there is nothing more relaxing to me than to go for a nice, fast paced walk - great stress reliever!!!
I absolutely love living close to the ocean; find it so soothing to sit and listen to the surf. Dragonflies hold a special place in my heart and friends and relatives have now started giving me gifts of dragonfly jewellry. In fact as a birthday gift last year to myself I got a tatoo of a dragonfly on my ankle!!!
People that constantly brag about all that they own or plan to buy can stop wasting my time as well as those that are "know-it-alls". I have no tolerance for inattentive drivers and people that persist in driving well over the posted speed limit.
Everyone likes my homemade beans (from scratch), blueberry muffins, coconut bread, carrot cake, turkey divan, sweet & sour pork chops and fishcakes.
Recently ate lunch at the Cranberry Inn and must say that the food was awesome, the atmosphere relaxing and the service was excellent; thus it is now my most favorite place to eat.

Favorite Foods:

I am now eating much healthier than in the past, but I still have fond memories of pizza, butterscotch pie and hot fudge sundaes!!!
