Favorite Foods:

I love comfort foods! Being a single mom, I have to cook a lot of crockpot foods and 'make in a flash' dishes. I really adore veggies in just about any form. I am a bit of a homebody so I guess it reflects in my cooking. I make a lot of stews, bake when I can and enjoy pure flavours of good cooking...I don't like my food all covered in 'stuff' so you can't taste what is really there. (although ketchup once in a while is just fine!)

My favourite local restaurant is Tita's authentic Mexican, but my favourite childhood place is Flippi's on India St. in San Diego OR the Chicken Pie Shop. I just wish I could get some of those chicken pies up here in Canada!
