about me

I am the mother of a Jewish family. Our children range in age from 28 to 6 years old. My second grandson just arrived Sept 14. I love to bake and cook with all of them sharing tips and secrets and laughs and sorrows. I find the kitchen is one of the places where the life blood of our family centers. We raise miniature dachshunds and pekingese on the side and have homeschool our children for over 15 years.

Favorite Foods:

I enjoy cooking from every culture imaginable. I have a varied palate anything from my Palak Paneer that my children love, hot and spicey to my basic Shabbat whole wheat challah. I especially enjoy sephardic dishes of rice and lamb, fresh vegetable and fruit dishes, and anything heavy in olive oil and lemon. I have had several recipes published on other sites one is my Steamed Figgy Pudding recipe. My favoirte tools are my pressure cookers, crockpots, and large mixer.
