about me

I'm an American in East Africa with a husband and 2 very young children. I cook from scratch out of necessity, though I admit I love having fresh, healthy food everyday and will keep it up if I ever live in the West again. It's frustrating to have so few foods available where I live and so I struggle to find do-able recipes that are good. I especially miss the wide range of dairy products and good meat from back home.

Favorite Foods:

I love just about anything if the ingredients are fresh, good quality, and seasoned well. I grew up on Mexican food, being from Southern California, so that's something I can almost always be in the mood for.
