Have lived in Texas and New York as well as North Eastern PA and love regional cooking from all of them. Southern food is really my favorite, just about tied with Tex-Mex. I still use my cookbooks from the 1970's, especially The Pillsbury Family Cookbook and The New Good Housekeeping Cookbook. Sometimes you can't go home physically, but you can take a soul-trip back with your old favorites.
