My name is Velimir and I live in a mid-sized town and municipality outside of Belgrade, but I go to the University of Belgrade where I spend most of my day-to-day time. I've had a growing interest in cooking since I was a little kid and have always seen cooking as fun, innovative and productive. Most of all I love making exotic dishes for my family (just to kill the monotony of my mom's boring everyday meals). Although I love to cook and my cooking is productive in the sense that I always follow recipes for new meals, none of it would ever be possible if I don't agree to pay the price and do the washing up...
My absolute favorite dish is the classic Lasagna my mother makes (yet still I don't know what she does to make it so juicy and tasty). I like chicken and beef prepared in a variety of exotic ways and I always experiment with new things to put in my meat. I also like very spicy foods and consider them a challenge of both skill and guts (when it comes to eating that is). Most of all foods I make pastries, whether they're cooked in a pot or baked in the oven, and I absolutely love baking my own dough. I often look to the macrobiotic and nutritive value of foods to optimize my weight-loss diets and look to make the best after-workout grub.
I'm a student of Japanese Literature, Language and Culture at college so I take a very deep interest in the Japanese cuisine, however often lacking the required ingredients to make the most of it.
