about me

Hi and thanks for stopping by! Born and raised in the Southwest part of Washington state, I left the area in the early 80s when I married my husband who was then in the Air Force. Celebrating 26 years together this year, 20 of those and many address changes later, he retired and we settled back in the Southwest part of Washington, only to move North to the Puget Sound area due to job relocation last December. The area is beautiful and there's so much to see and do, but I really don't care for the amount of people and traffic living here. There isn't a week goes by that there isn't some sort of incident that has one of us sitting on I-5 in a traffic back-up!
I love baseball and even tho the Mariners are at the bottom of the pile this year, I'm still a diehard fan! Living closer to Seattle now makes it easier to get to more home games as well, which we both love doing!
Fall is my absolute favorite time of year! I love the change in season when the days are warm and the nights are cool and you can sleep again without a fan blowing on you! The leaves changing with so many brilliant colors, pumpkins, eating soup and home made bread again, just all things associated with the change of the season.
I collect snowmen, but not just any kind. They have to have a certain look to them that immediately says "I'm going home with you" and they HAVE to have a carrot nose! If I have to think about it, it stays!
I don't have much to contribute as far as recipes go here because I see a lot of different things similar to what I make with a tweak here or there, so figure why clog the system with dupes? I know when I want to find something different to shake up the meal plan I can come here and find it, but tend to stick more to recipes using things I already have on hand knowing its probably going to be a sure thing we like. We eat pretty simple which is just what we prefer.

Favorite Foods:

I know coffee isn't a food, but I love it!! I'm always trying new beans when I run across a coffee roaster in our travels, which to me is the best kind of souvenir! I like most foods and can't really pick a favorite because there's just too much to try and narrow it down to a few. I do think green peppers are the nastiest thing out there and should be outlawed*lol* I don't like fruit in anything (especially anything that involves chocolate) excpet a pie.
Just prefer it by itself!
