about me

I live in Phoenix, Arizona. Cooking is a relaxing hobby and I love finding healthy meals that have a lot of flavor and heart to them. Recipezaar has not let me down.

I love crafts, reading, walking, my nieces and family, my cats, and making new discoveries in general. The handsome gentleman you see is Tricks. He is a tom cat I never knew I wanted until I saw him. His beautiful girlfriend is Midnight (she is my icon pic). She was a feral rescue that has come a long way from the broken cat she was.

I could not possibly pick a favorite cookbook. I love searching used bookstores for old cookbooks. I collect other cookbooks that look intresting or have healthy dishes. My collection is modest, but I love it. Also, I love the Taste of Home magazines. They have real food that real people cook.

I would have to say my pet peeves are irresponsible people and people who drive while talking on cell phones.

If I won the lottery I would give notice,travel the world searching for an old house to buy and make my own. I would have a farm house sink in a professionally appointed kitchen. A huge reading room with lots of comfortable chairs, couches, and a grand, huge desk where I could write, study, maintain household accounts, and in general get things done. Also, I would go to school full time to study creative writing and English Lit. It would be a fantastic adventure to live in an easy style and not have to worry about bills.

Currently, I work full-time and go to school in the evenings. Slowly, I am chipping away at the pre-requisites for nursing. I think nursing is such a noble profession and important one to society. It is funny how much more intresting school is when you go as an adult.

The Zaar system of ratings works for me. I do try to explain myself in my reviews and welcome any questions or comments on what I have said. It is not my intention to be mean-spirited if I did not like something (it is rare for me not to like a recipe though)
Recipezaar brings such a nice element to my life and I feel it has been enriched by the wealth of knowledge both in everyone's contributed recipes and on the forums. Also, it is such a nice feature that you can log on practically any time to get help with a recipe or ingredient that might otherwise be imtimidating to prepare by yourself.

Favorite Foods:

My favorite foods are cheese, mexican, deserts, tomatoes, really yummy salads, chinese, itallian.

I love to bake everything exept for yeast breads,my downfall.

My family often requests my broccoli salad and any dessert I make they usually want the recipe.

I am really liking Mexican food right now. El Pollo Loco is one of my favorate fast-food restraunts. Also, I love Taco Bell. It is great to be into fancy restaurants and ingredients, but it is even better to enjoy what you are eating rather than where you have eaten.
