Grew up watching my father cook in the house and learned to love strong flavors. We had a few chefs work in the house too and I always enjoyed watching them work and asking them tons of questions. I love cooking shows, especially Ramsey.
I like everything from bold flavors like French to light flavors like Japanese. I have too many favorite foods. I like to vary the dishes I cook rather than remaking favorites all the time. Consequently I have a big library of cook books and a large shelf of herbs and spices. I think cooking should be fun and adventurous so I don't follow recipes. I think I can cook better than most professional chefs. One of my best friends is head chef at the Ritz and trained at Cordon Bleu in Paris for 7 years and he agrees. When ever friends or family are hungry they always prefer I cook rather than go out because the risk of a bad dish is too high at a restaurant. I think that's the best compliment! ![]()
