I'm a mother (2) and grandmother (6). I live with my husband, two dogs, three cats, a box turtle and a rabbit. We've been retired for over 10 years and just became officially old (ie: we started collecting social security this year). I like to cook easy, but healthy dishes. Nothing that takes too long to make. We eat alot of chicken and some beef. I'm always looking for new ways to use the ingredients I have. On a fixed income we search for bargains and use coupons when we can.
I have a digital collage sheet business which occupies most of my time during the day. People buy the collage sheets for crafts and different art projects. It's fun creating them. Often times I get so busy on the computer I forget what time it is and have to hurry to make dinner for my "starving" husband.
My husband loves Mexican food, the hotter (spicy) the better. I'll eat it, but I can't have spicy, hot foods. So, I'm not quick to make Mexican. We do have burritos, tacos and sometimes enchiladas as long as their not spicy. My husband adds hot sauce to his. I'm not exactly sure what my favorite food would be. I like most foods except seafood. I'm not a seafood fanatic. Don't take me anywhere near Red Lobster. I do not like lobster or crab. I guess I'd have to say I'm more of a beef person. That's what I was raised with. I do like prime rib and a good roast with potatos, carrots and celery. Yummm!
