I am a "40 something" (at least for another year!), mother of three, married (28 years) lady! I really love to cook and my family really loves to eat. It was a match made in heaven! My husband and son are both avid hunter/fishermen, so the freezer is always busting at the seams with venison, goose, rabbit and fish. Even our youngest daughter put in for a turkey permit this year. Two of our kids are in college, one at CMU and one at MSU, with the baby starting CMU in the fall. I cannot stand the thought of an empty nest!!!! Who will eat this bounty? How will I cook for only two? I may have to take my stove on the road! I love to grocery shop! I would rather grocery shop than clothes shop any day of the week. I love feeding all of our family and friends. It is so flattering that these people would rather come to my house for dinner than go out! I especially love to make soup. It feels like liquid love to me!
I am not a very picky eater. I didn't get this healthy by turning down a meal! Some of my favorites are marinated venison steak (my kids won't eat beef steak anymore, even NY strip, they prefer venison), marinated lemon chicken, shrimp scampi, Italian, Mexican, Chinese, and probably many other ethnic food that I haven't tried yet. I have a serious bread fetish and cannot eat a meal without some type of bread. It is a sickness. Low-Carbing would make me very thin!
