I love sushi, although I don't prepare it. My favorite foods tend to go with the seasons. In summer I cook a lot of steaks on the grill and serve them with big salads. In the fall I start to go with the traditional dinnertime favorites such as enchiladas, crispy chicken breasts with steamed broccoli on the side and flavored rice. In winter I like to roast beef, peppers and onions and then slice and season them and serve in buns, or make roasted chicken with the works and then make chicken soup the next day or so. Spring is fresh salad time with steamed and cooled asparagus and also ensalada narajas (that'd be orange salad for you gringos out there) beside tacos. I also like to eat raw foods--raw broccoli primavera, raw chow mein and lots of raw cut veggies and fruits. My slowcooker comes out in the fall for beans and grains and I also like to make bread. I guess you could say I follow the traditional seasons and availability. Being in a four seasons kind of place, it's not hard to do. I'm famous for my chicken soup and sour cream coffee cake, and also my vegetarian chili.
