Excuse me, I'm new here

about me

I'm too old (30 something) to be this new to cooking. How did I survive this far? Fast food, frozen food and other friends' food.

Now, I'm still single, have my own place and little $$ and need to learn to cook to survive.

I became hooked on this site once I found the recipe sifter could filter things by "beginner cooking", "5 ingredients or less", 3 steps or less etc. I use these filters a lot.
