I live in the Midwest with my husband, cat and two dogs in the 1890's home we have restored. Our favorite spot is the front porch on long summer Sundays, sipping wine and nibbling my latest creation. When not at home, we're off traveling the world, sampling wine and food wherever we go!
(although our list of want-to-go destinations still outnumbers the places we've been!) We love to entertain our friends and family and share good food, drink, and great conversation well into the night!
I have run my own catering business for the last 8 years or so, and have also worked as an ESL tutor and 911 Dispatcher.
My favorite foods include anything grilled, like a perfect rare steak, seafood like Mango Curry Grilled Salmon, cajun shrimp, or lobster fixed just about ANY way!, and you can't go wrong grilling chicken or lamb. I crave spicy: hot wings, cajun delights, moroccan fare...What I most love is the fun in trying new recipes and ethnic cuisines.
The dishes I am most often requested to make are my Autumn Stuffed Pork Loin, Jambalaya, Luisa's Chicken Curry, Pot Roast, my cole slaw and pasta salads, chicken salad, and Cuban Ham Rolls. What I find funny is very often, the dishes people go bananas for are the really simple ones. (like Cuban Ham Rolls, for instance!)
Rather than yoga or meditation, what I find most relaxing is just to be in my kitchen, listening to music, drinking wine, and preparing a meal to share with loved ones--nothing in the world makes me happier.
