about me

I live and work in the UK. I am a lecturer at one of the uni's. Quite a few people at work like to cook so we meet up now and again to try out new recipes.

What I really love to do is go to the market and buy what looks good that day without a fixed idea of what I am going to make. Then when I get home I go through my cookbooks and create a dish by combining all those ideas. Mostly it works

I am "famous" for my soups. I will make a soup from just about anything and it is a delicious surprise each time.

My favourite restaurant is on Mallorca. It is a small place with a beautiful courtyard tucked away in a side street. It really caters only for the locals but if you are lucky enough to find it you are in for a treat. The food is simple and fresh every day and made with passion and love.

Curry (veg mainly)
Lamb cutlets from the oven
Grilled chicken
and everything else
