about me

I live in the northern suburbs of Minneapolis. I have lived in Minnesota most of my life, with a short stint in Wisconsin. My tastes, however, are much more traveled. I enjoy all sorts of food and I am always looking for new things to try. I am a fairly competent cook, but I am a very good baker. (My husband is just the opposite, we make a great team!)

The truth is I am a bit of a snob about cooking. I believe in using the best ingredients I can find/afford. I also believe in making things from scratch. There are no cake mixes or "helper" boxes in my kitchen. That is why I love RecipeZaar so much, I can find a scratch recipe for almost anything.
