Born and raised in Oregon, I am a Scots-Irish girl at heart. I am the mother of 5 intelligent, beautiful souls. I love spending time with my husband and children. I'm a romance writer and an editor. My husband is a publisher and a computer whiz and he is very handsome too.
If I had a month to myself to do whatever I wanted I would go to Scotland and see absolutely everything I could, and get information on family history too. When I think of Scotland or when I listen to my Bagpipe CD's I ache inside my heart and I feel like something is missing inside of me that I can't find unless I go there. I need to touch the earth there, feel the walls of the castle ruins.
If I had a passion that would probably be it. To learn about my heritage and find my roots that are there; the people that went on before me that are a part of me; find their records and place them in my family history book and hold them ever dear to my heart.
My pet peeves? Hmm... I guess that would be mean people. I love witty people, or slightly rebellious people even, but mean people are just, well, I saw a bumper sticker once that summed it up precisely, it said, "Mean People Suck". It's true.

Favorite Foods:

My favorite dishes to cook would be Tinga and Carne Asada with Salsa Verde. One of my best friends is Mexican and she has taught me how to make these two recipes just like her gramma in Mexico. My family loves both of these dishes.
I am famous for my pies as far as my family and extended family go.
My very best friend is my husband and he takes me out on a date every Friday night and we love to eat at AppleBee's and a Thai restaurant called Thai Beer. We love the hot wings from AppleBee's and Thai Beer doesn't serve anything but top quality, delicious Thai food.
I think this web site is my most favorite of all the places I have been on the net. It has nice people posting great recipes; when I am in the middle of fixing a meal for my family and need a quick help, I flip open my MacBook Pro, place it on my kitchen counter and log on to Recipezaar. I know I will always be able to find just the thing I am searching for from some nice person who had the inspiration to put it on this great site!
