about me

Residing in the country all my life, enriched my soul as well as my body! The gardens are plentiful here in the South, and the game runs wild. My husband and I share life on Memory Hill with many acres surrounding us. We own The Valley Quick Stop which is where most of our hours working are spent. For fun...we play dominoes with friends or on our computers. My favorite cookbooks are the ones the churches and local groups journal and have published. It is local cooks and their great recipes..Mine and Bill's passion is the love we share with each other. Our pet peeve is people who ride the systems and won't work when they are more able than we are....and last but not least...we worship GOD and thankful for our blessings day by day!

Favorite Foods:

The favorite meal at my house is my hamburger and potatoe salad. Yes, hamburger. I know you are thinking...well of all the recipes you say BURGER? It's true. And, for the other one....well, at all the gatherings our families have, they want my famous potatoe salad! My husband and I love to frequent nice restaurants. Its not often being business owners that we have a nice dining experience, but when we do....we want it to be nice. One of our favorite places to dine is THE ROUND TABLE in Columbia. This is a beautiful old boarding house, lavishly decorated with Southern Charm. Huge Lazy Susan ball-bearing tables that spin, are in the dining rooms. Home cooked foods consisting of 20+ entrees and many desserts, and oh so delicious!
