I love to cook. Learned from my grandmother (who actually cooked on a wood stove until the late 1960's!, when I was in high school) and being the oldest of four children of two working parents, I did much of the family cooking as I was growing up. I have a fairly large collection of cookbooks, and love this site for finding recipes.

My partner and I have been together 25 years now. We are RV'ers, so I have had to learn to cook in a small kitchen while on the go. I have found recipes here that are great for this, especially crockpot recipes. Our home away from home:

I collect Depression Glass, and Early American Pressed Glass. And I have a much too big of a yard to putter around in. (lately "putter" translates to "too damn much work"!)

Favorite Foods:

I enjoy fall and winter, because I love to make and eat soups and breads. I don't have many soup recipes to post because I usually make soup out of what's on hand. I will try to write things down so I can post them.

I love salmon during grilling season, and shellfish anytime!
I have never been a big vegie eater, but am learning to like them more thanks to many recipes I have found here!

5 stars from me means we loved it and wouldn't change a thing. 4 stars means we really liked it and I would most likely make it again, but with minor changes (or I felt the way the recipe was written needs improvement). 3 stars means it has possibilities but was lacking something, or I would make major changes. I usually won't rate anything less than 3 stars. If it is less than that, I either won't review it (tastes are subjective, after all) or I might suggest changes, without stars. If I have made changes to the recipe and it doesn't turn out, that is MY fault, not the posters.
