I'm Danish! Came to Canada in 1968; lived in B.C. until 1979, then we had the wonderful opportunity to live in Hawaii for almost 3 years' we then moved to Southern Ontario in 1982. I'm a Doctor of Human Biochemistry, specializing in Nutrition, a Doctor of Homeopathic Medicine, and a Registered Nutrition Consultant Practitioner, I have my own full time practice.
My passion is cooking! I have tested and tried over 10.000 recipes over the last 30 years on my beloved husband - and he loves it!!! Now that our children have grown and moved away, we enjoy our weekends with some wonderful cooking for two.
My pet peeve is too much garlic in a creamy sauce that is too rich for us.
My favourite cookbook is the one I have made myself over the past 40 years.
My interests are knitting Scandinavian socks, sweaters, reading, and the outdoors with gardening, as we have a wonderful cottage with a little vegetable garden and my lovely roses. We lost our two wonderful Bassets to old age a few years ago, now we have a very spoiled Miniature Pincher by the name of Coco he gives us lots of fun and laughter.
If I had a month off I would visit our children who live in Florida, Alberta, British Columbia, and cook them their favorite meals.

Favorite Foods:

My favorite dish is Swiss Chicken! I have taught all our children to make it, and they love it when they come home. I always make them "Welcome Home Minestrone Soup". I'm famous for my Blueberry Pancakes.
Our best place to eat after a long week at the office is Swiss Chalet, as it is the best chicken one can find... Not too often do we eat out as I love to cook and I always want to try a new recipe.
