about me

I'm a mom of three children and a former bilingual Spanish elementary school teacher, trying to figure out what my next incarnation will be! I like to cook, crochet, hike and hang out with my family. Since one of my previous jobs was baking desserts in a great café in Oregon, I am known for my desserts (I also like to bring them to potlucks so I can have some but not eat too much!), especially pumpkin cake with cream cheese frosting, decorated cakes for birthdays, and for very special occasions, Cappuccino Torte.

Favorite Foods:

In addition to most sweet things (unfortunately), I love sushi as well as Thai, Indian, Creole, New Mexican and true Mexican food. I like to roast chickens because my whole family loves them and it's really easy.
