Life without change is boring. And my life is never boring!!

We've just now settled into a place on the East Coast. We've been in Oklahoma and Arkansas with my husband's military career and have returned home now that he's retired, to the coast and the beach. I have two great kids and a wonderful husband who are willing to try out my creative culinary adventures.

I try to eat healthy foods with lots of whole grains and fruits and vegetables. I have a horrendous sweet tooth, though! I attempt to offset the sweet tooth by exercise. Sometimes that works better than other times.

I often feel like a liberal trapped in a conservative's world. The military world is quite conservative and there were points when it was tough. Let's just say my views politically and theologically tend towards the liberal and leave it at that!

My background is special education and children's ministry. My focus is my family, my friends, and my faith life. I don't know what plans have been made for us for the future, but I'm doing my best to enjoy the ride!

Favorite Foods:

I like it all. Not a fan of greasy foods or super spicy food. I like strong flavors though. I've spent a lot of time in France and I love strong cheeses and dark chocolate. But basically, if you put it in front of me I'll eat it. Except raw celery. I'll find a way to be gracious about it (or attempt to) but I won't eat it. I'll lick the peanut butter off it if I must, but I just don't like it!
