Food and cooking have become a big part of my life. I really enjoy good food and preparing excellent meals for my family and friends is a passion of mine. I enjoy snapping photos of some of our meals, but THE FOOD is my focus, not the photos...they are just an afterthought.

I try not to post recipes that I haven't tried myself. Many of the recipes I have posted are in response to requests on the message boards. Therefore, the recipes submitted may not be my favorites, or even my most fabulous. However, I recently adopted several recipes from the Recipezaar account and promise to try those all as soon as possible.

I am married to a wonderful man, and we have 2 spoiled rotten mini dachshunds. Cycling is a summer-time interest, and I have completed a few challenging rides. More rides are planned for the warmer weather, and while it isn't a competition, I do hope to do well. Life is good.

There aren't many foods that I don't like, but most canned vegetables do come to mind. For the most part, I am willing to try anything once...and will usually be game for a second try, too.
