about me

I've been a farm wife for almost 30 years, driving tractors and semi-trucks, and raising corn, soybeans, beef cows, and 4 daughters. We are going against big farm trends and diversifying (rather than specializing), adding honey bees and milk goats to our farm. I have too many interests, but especially love artistic pusuits, such as pottery, painting, music, gardening,and creative cooking. This year's resolution, coinciding with my 50th birthday in June, is to get healthy! I'm commited to a lo-carb diet (since last July) and gym visits 3 times a week. So, I'm on the look out for good-tasting and creative ideas for lo-carb dining.

Favorite Foods:

I enjoy ALL kinds of foods from all over the world and experimenting with new techniques and ingredients. I also love to entertain - we even self-catered our 2 daughters' weddings in 2002! My daughters are now asking that I write down their favorite recipes, so as I get them on paper (on disc) I'll try to share some good ones here.
